I was raised in Braymer, Missouri and graduated from Maple Woods College. I continued my education at Concorde Career College and earned my Expanded Function Certificate in their Dental Program. Beginning my career at Kanning Dental in 2006, I first served as an assistant and now as the Office Manager.
Kanning Dental is not only my career but it is also my family. I enjoy being able to have the relationships with the patients and meeting their needs. My goal is to make every patient comfortable during their appointment and knowledgeable about their oral health.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my four children doing anything outdoors. We love to hunt, shoot bows, grill out with friends and family, and watch movies.
As one of the first employees, I have been part of this office for a long time. Working at Kanning Dental has somewhat defined part of who I am. I have served the practice in many capacities, but currently serve as the Insurance Coordinator. I really care about people and our patients and meeting their wants and needs. The individuals I get the privilege of working with at Kanning Dental feel like family!
Over the years, I have belonged to many organizations in our Lawson community. However, my constant is the Lawson Methodist Church, where over the years I have done almost every job in the church, but preach.
When I am not at 201 E 6th Street, you’ll find me enjoying all of my favorite things- reading, quilting, and spending time with family, especially my grandchildren who are just wonderful.
Lawson is where I proudly call home and have since I was 10 years old. I did have a brief stent away from Cardinal country while attending Missouri Western and DeVry colleges. I have worked off and on in the dental field since I was 16. After a number of years away, I am very excited to be back at Kanning Dental now serving as the Administrative Assistant.
Learning about the patients and helping them with their appointments and dental questions is what I enjoy about working at Kanning Dental.
The United Methodist Church of Lawson has always been a big part of my life and when my children were younger, I worked for the school district and was very active in PTO and school activities.
I’m married with three grown children and three grandchildren that I enjoy immensely. When I’m not at 201 E 6th Street or with my grandchildren (my favorite), you’ll find me quilting, weaving, cross stitching, knitting, and gardening.
I graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene, May of 2014. I was first attracted to Kanning Dental because of the small-town atmosphere, but soon learned that this office is much more than that! What I most enjoy about Kanning Dental are the relationships that are created with my patients as well as helping my team members succeed. I enjoy always learning and continuing my education. To me, the best part of being a hygienist is helping patients along their journey to better oral health.
I was raised in Wheeling, MO and currently reside in Chillicothe. Yes, I drive over an hour to Kanning Dental because I believe in this office and the care we provide.
When I am not working, or driving, I enjoy spending time with my family, horses, dog and doing just about anything outdoors.
I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where I attended college at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in the Spring of 2009. With my Missouri dental hygiene licensure and certification in local anesthetic and nitrous oxide administration, I have clinically practiced dental hygiene and volunteered with the state doing dental screenings in a variety of elementary schools.
I am very happy to be part of the Kanning Dental team. My daily goal is to help fulfill our mission by educating and treating our patients in a comfortable, clean, and cozy environment. My passion is patient education; therefore, I love to comprehensively answer patient questions and give them answers to help lead them to optimal oral health.
In our down time, my husband and I love watching our children grow, catching a baseball game, or enjoying live music.
After graduating in October 2013 from Concorde Dental Hygiene school, my passion to help patients feel comfortable with pain free dentistry and provide quality care and education quickly grew. I enjoy being able to visit with each patient and help my team succeed in making everyone feel at home. Being part of Kanning Dental has blessed me with many opportunities to grow and learn, making me a better, more well-rounded hygienist.
When I find free time, I like to be in the outdoors with my husband and two dogs- a Husky and a Catahoula. Whether it be hiking, fishing, exploring, or just taking a drive as long as we are outside I’m a happy lady.
I began my career at Kanning Dental in 2016 as the Sterilization Tech but quickly progress to a Dental Assistant through the hands-on training and support of our amazing team. Through additional training, I specialize in our CEREC milling of crowns, bridges, and implants. This office is very passionate about our patients, the care that they receive, and the education to get each employee preforming at our fullest potential… all the while having a blast doing it.
Kanning Dental prides itself on making each patient feel special by greeting them with a smile and calling them by their first name. That is one of my favorite things about our practice. I love the small-town feel (with big city technology) and having everyone feel like family. My husband and I love doing anything outdoors with our two crazy dogs. I am at my happiest when I am with my family!
I was born and raised in Polo, Missouri. I graduated from Metropolitan Community College in May 2018, with my expanded functions dental assisting certificate in the health science institute.
I am very happy and proud to be part of the Kanning Dental team as I get to expand my knowledge and compassion I have for the dental field. I truly enjoy working with my patients and helping them reach their personal oral health goals, while growing their dental knowledge at the same time.
In my spare time, when I can find it, I enjoy spending my time outdoors with my dog, Ozzy, whether it be fishing, riding, hunting, playing softball, you name it. My everyday inspiration is my faith, my family, and knowing what I am doing today is getting me closer to where I want to be tomorrow.
