Patient Safety

COVID- 19 Safety Information

Thank you for your patience throughout the Coronavirus crisis as we adjusted our patient care due to requirements set in place by the CDC and ADA. With Missouri’s shelter-in-place restrictions lifted, we will resume all dental care services in Lawson and Richmond on June 1. In the meantime, we will continue to handle all emergency cases as necessary. Please call 816.580.4191 to schedule any emergency situations.

Is it safe to go to my dental appointment?

We understand that is a reasonable question patients are asking at this point, but we want you to know that we are doing everything we can to ensure your visit is safe for everyone.

We’ve always taken pride in our practice’s focus on cleanliness and adherence to infection control protocols established by the CDC and ADA to help protect our patients and team from communicable diseases. With the onset of the COVID-19 crisis, we’ve implemented additional measures and required screening procedures to ensure your health and safety moving forward.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • All clinical team members wear:

    • N95 surgical masks with face shields

    • Eyewear with side shields

    • Gown or lab jacket

  • All non-clinical team members wear reusable masks

  • All patients are given protective eyewear during procedures

Sterilization and Disinfection

  • Coffee station, magazines, books, toys, and other handouts have been removed from common and cliencial areas.

  • Countertops, door knobs, tables, chairs and other common surfaces are wiped down after use and throughout the day.

Check-in Procedures and Screening

  • Upon arrival, patients will check in for their appointment virtually using the patient’s cell phone. A QR code will be prominently displayed in the parking lot.

  • Screening questions will be answered through the check-in app.

  • Patients are asked to remain in their car instead of coming into the waiting room.

  • A team member will greet patients in the parking lot and will check the temperature of every patient prior to entering the office.

  • Upon completion of the wellness screening and temperature check, patients will be escorted into the office by the team member and taken directly to their opertory.

  • All team members’ temperatures are taken twice daily.

  • Sick team members will remain at home.
